WOW!!! 9 YEARS & 7 CRIAS LATER

Sunshine has a beautiful head, is a lovely light gold (apricot) color, with very bright, soft, and dense fiber. Sunshine has the perfect balance of fineness and density with extreme consistency throughout the entire blanket. Her coverage extends all the way down her legs to her toes, and she passes that extreme coverage along to her crias. Her top knot is so dense, we can't keep it from felting!

Sunshine has had nine easy pregnancies and uneventful deliveries, producing four girls and five boys. All of her cria have had substantial birth weights and strong patterns of weight gain. Her offspring have won blue, red, and white ribbons in the show ring, demonstrating her ability to pass along her fine genetics for fiber, and ability to improve her cria with thoughtful breeding decisions.

Her last daughter, Bayou Creek Desert Sundance, won the color championship at the Midwest Alpaca Jamboree under "international rules" with Dr. Julio Sumar as the judge. She was in serious consideration for the supreme champion female, as well. She also got the blue ribbon with her fleece!!!

Sunshine has produced WH when bred to WH, LF when bred to LF, DB when bred to LSG, MF when bred to Multi, and MF when bred to DRG. Her offspring have superlative crimp, lock structure, staple length, coverage, fineness, uniformity and brightness.

A cornerstone of our breeding program since her arrival here, Allie is a daughter of the great Peruvian Camilio. She exhibits his dense fleece characteristics that are a hallmark of his offspring. She retains her pleasing personality throughout her pregnancies and has easy, unassisted deliveries. She is a doting mom, heavy milker, and takes excellent care of her crias!
To date, Allie has produced five crias, two girls and three boys. All her crias are show-quality, with the males displaying potential herdsire-quality, and all demonstrate absolutely knock-out fiber. Density, crimp, lock structure, brightness, fineness and uniformity are the rule rather than the exception with her offspring.

Beige, 151309, Peruvian

Goldie's conformation is correct with straight legs, balanced proportions, & a proud, upright posture. She has a dense, crimpy fawn fleece that is incredibly fine, and an engaging, gentle temperament. She is conformationally sound and has been extremely healthy since birth. She is still silky soft today, despite multiple crias. A problem free foundation female, easy birthing and plenty of milk takes some of the edge off worrying. This practiced and skilled mother will give you the experience and security that every farm needs.

Goldie has had five crias, Bayou Creek's Coppertone (Reserve Color Champion, Halter), Bayou Creek National Treasure, Multi out of Peruvian Desert Sun, Bayou Creek Goldie's Ladyhawk, LB girl out of FRA Spartacus, Bayou Creek Avanti's Avenger, LF boy out of Royal Peruvian Avanti, and Bayou Creek Taliesan (Shining Brow), LF girl out of Bayou Creek Aragorn. All of Goldie's deliveries have been normal, and her crias gain weight quickly and are vibrant and full of life.

Sunshine, Goldie's dam, is one of our foundation herd dams, and has consistently given us beautiful crias, mostly girls, with another wonderful girl this year. Sunshine’s micron at 11 years of age was: AFD 19.2 SD 4.7 CV 24.6 >30% 2.7. WOW!!

Maxwell's Siver Hammer is a Hemmingway grandson! He has tons of Macho Presence. His color is a beautiful true silver grey, with blue overtones.

Pepper is a darling girl with a pedigree that includes Peruvian Hemingway through her sire, and Ppperuvian Cahuide through her dam. She is currently bred to DOM ADAGIO, a MULTIPLE BLACK COLOR CHAMPION. This eye-catching young alpaca has strong bone structure and a well proportioned body with a straight top-line. She is a non-fading true black with terrific brightness and a super fine, buttery soft handling fleece.

Pepper is going to be big, like her mom, a 175 lb. beauty who has no problems with pregnancy or delivery. Overall, Pepper is a wonderful example of conformation and exactly what you should be looking for in a female.

Pepper delivered an incredible MRG son out of LSG Multiple Champion Bisturi this year, and is bred back to our Dom Lucilio son Bayou Creek Dom Adagio for a fall 2009 cria. Black and Black...that should be exceptional!

  Star FlowerStar Flower - Head

If you are breeding for grey, oftentimes the way to the best grey fleeces is to incorporate fawn into the pedigree. Thus, we bred Colpita Peanut, Star Flower's Medium Silver Grey dam, to BC Olympic Sun, our Light Fawn son of Peruvian Olympus. Well, we didn't get grey, but Star Flower is a rich, chocolate brown, with lots of brightness and density to her fleece. Her medium brown color accents her spectacular conformation and bright, crimpy fleece. With Star Flower's color and charm, she will become a star on any farm.

Star Flower's sire, BC Olympic Sun, has one of the finest fleeces on our farm, and has kept his fineness over the years. His initial fiber analysis showed: 15.5 AFD 3.1 SD 20 CV >30% 0.7. At 6 years old he was: 22.6 AFD 4.3 SD 19 CV >30% 4.8. Fineness is the future of alpaca fiber, and this guy has it and imparts it to his progeny.

Her dam, Colpita Peanut, has produced three greys, one black, and Star Flower, with her extreme density and uniformity of rich reddish-brown color.

When making the breeding decision for Star Flower, we went back to grey, beautiful MSG Bayou Creek Voltaire's Hammer, to try once again to bring out that illusive, alluring, captivating grey color! She gave us a gorgeous MRG daughter! Sooo...beautiful, in fact, that we repeated the same breeding for her next cria!
